Licensed Clinical Social Worker – Approved EMDRIA consultant
I am a trauma therapist specializing in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). I have been doing trauma work for over a decade.
The human condition is a never-ending, complicated puzzle. I became a therapist because I deeply enjoy helping people solve the puzzles of their own lives and circumstances, and helping them reach a place of stability and satisfaction.
Treatment Approach
I focus on early attachment relationships and how those relationship dynamics continue to play out later in life. Some questions to consider when thinking about attachment relationships are:
- Are there patterns you developed with your parents or caregivers that were helpful and adaptive when you were a kid but no longer serve you as an adult?
- Do you find yourself wanting to be closer to people but unable to climb that hurdle?
- What did it mean to have big feelings or emotions when you were growing up?
I also focus on sussing out unhelpful thought patterns that often come as a result of adverse events or trauma, and working to change them to become more helpful. I weave attachment themes and pieces of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) into EMDR work.
I spend a lot of time with clients working on not only processing trauma, but also understanding boundaries. They can be especially difficult to navigate after adverse experiences. Some things to consider:
- What are your boundaries?
- What is okay for you, and what’s not okay?
- Where is the line, and is this truly something for you to own? Or does this belong to someone else?
Because I know how difficult it can be to reach out, I have a policy of responding to all inquiries within one business day. Let’s get the ball rolling.

Education & Credentials:
I graduated from the University of Denver in 2013 with a masters in social work (MSW) and a certificate in interpersonal trauma studies. I became interested in EMDR after observing a live EMDR session in a trauma studies class at DU. I knew then that that was something I wanted to do.
I completed my basic training in EMDR in 2018 and I am now an approved consultant with the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA). I use this model in my daily practice, and I have received advanced training related to depression, anxiety, phobias, attachment, and perinatal trauma (among others) within the EMDR framework.
